The SC704 and SC706 have the same measurements. The difference between the two lies in the filtration capability. The filtration surface of the SC706 (50 sq ft) is double the size as that of the SC704 (25 sq ft). Therefore the price difference.
A larger filtration surface provides a better filtration and a longer lifespan. A larger filtration surface also means that the pump encounters more resistance. The water gets pumped around less quickly.
