Solar cover: why to use it on my pool?

A bubble cover can significantly reduce the cost of heating your swimming pool. By using a pool cover, you will be able to heat more and better with smaller heating.

Swimming pools lose heat in different ways, however evaporation along the surface is the biggest source of heat loss. These covers prevent evaporation of the water. In this way the pool water stays much warmer, because 80% of the heat loss in a swimming pool occurs through evaporation of the water.

Another advantage is that you also save water by preventing evaporation.

The third big advantage is that you will have less cleaning work, as leaves and other dirt will held up on the bubble cover while they would simply fall into the pool without the bubble cover.

Which precautions should I take to protect my bubble cover?

• When the cover is rolled up and there is sunshine, always put the protective cover over the bubble cover. Even for short periods of time.
• Keep the temperature of the pool below 30°C.
• Roll up the cover during a chlorine powder until the chlorine level and pH are normal.
• During winter, protect the cover from rays of sunlight, put it away when the cover is clean and dry.
